Use “only” to eliminate noise

In the executive job market, your key competitors are not just other leaders. This is the huge impact of artificial intelligence. When every “personalized” LinkedIn message sounds like it’s written by the same algorithm, the only way to get a response from your senior peers is to lead it your way uniqueness.

uniqueness is the unique intersection of your specific history, experience, and vision. Online, it’s the difference between asking for help and offering a perspective that no one else in the room can offer.

Here’s how to use artificial intelligence to find intersections and draft outreach that require responses.

1. From “connection” to “contribution”

Most networking fails because it starts with a request: “I’d like to connect to learn more about your company.” In executive recruiting, this is a low-value request. To make progress, you must use artificial intelligence to identify “contribution points” based on your uniqueness.
