3.28 Friday Favorite – Fitness Guru

Hi friends! have a nice weekend! I came here on Saturday with my favorite people from Friday. The pilots are gone this week, so I’m doing the solo parenting thing. Counting down the days until summer vacation! We tasted a little bit yesterday and I’m ready. It was perfect to take the kids to the pool with some friends after school. I got to ride the water slide and loved it lol.

Plans for the rest of the weekend include a nice brunch, watching the Wildcats game tonight, and getting ready for the week ahead. Hope you have a fun and relaxing weekend too!

It’s time for our weekly Friday favorites roundup. I always love hearing about your favorite things from the week and around the web, so shout out your favorites in the comments section below.

3.28 Friday Favorites

Fashionable, beautiful and casual:

These goggles. I’ve shared them before, but the rx goggles make me a fun mom in the pool, haha. I can swim, drive, and go down water slides, and still see exactly what I’m going to do. I looked absolutely ridiculous, but I reminded myself that the kids would probably just remember the fact that I was actually in the water playing with them, not the fact that I looked like an insect.

This Target skirt. Super light and comfortable; perfect for game day and pickle ball.

Shout out again to my favorite “mom swimsuit”. The fabric is super lightweight, fits great, and comes in lots of pretty colors. (I would also cover your booty while you build sandcastles or chase the kids.) I wear and love these two too.

Read, watch, listen:

Don’t miss this week’s podcast episode. I loved this conversation, it’s so important to understand where your food comes from.

Reading this, even though I knew it would slowly break my heart, I was 100% locked in.

Well, that’s exciting.

What is your child’s love language?

Fitness, Health and Food:

If you haven’t tried these Good Pop Ice Cream Sandwiches yet, they are amazing. Gluten-free, dairy-free, the perfect little sweet treat!

High volume low calorie recipes. Many of them are light and fresh; perfect for hot weather.

Be sure to try this Real Food Kale Salad Copycat Recipe.

Cured sent me some of their Dream gummies to try, and last night I ate half of them and slept like a baby. Sleep has been hit and miss for me over the past few months – just the sheer stress of having so many different things going on and being paired with a new puppy is a disaster – but their Serenity Gummies have been a game changer for me. I’ll take half a Serenity gummy if I feel excited before bed and immediately feel calm, and don’t feel nauseous or groggy in the morning. If you want to try these gummies, you can use GINAH here for a discount! (Dream Gummies won’t be officially released until Monday, but you can get early access!)

EquiLife Birthday Sale continues until tomorrow! If you’ve been wanting to try something new or stock up on your favorites, now’s your chance.

Here are some of my top picks:

Daily Nutritional Support – They also have a new strawberry flavor that’s so delicious. I add DNS to my protein pudding every day and I feel a difference in my energy when I don’t eat it.

Full Spectrum Magnesium

Magnesium is one of the most common deficiencies I see, and it affects many systems in the body. I take this every night and give it to the kids too. I have tried many different magnesium brands and types and this is by far my favorite.

If you have trouble sleeping or are traveling, melatonin can provide a boost. I take it with me whenever we travel so I can go to Spain with zero jet lag. I like it.

adrenal energy

I don’t drink regular caffeine, but my cortisol is low in the morning. I use it to rebalance my levels and still accept it. It gives me energy without feeling nervous. It’s designed to support the body’s natural energy system and adrenal gland function without the spikes and crashing effects.

Adrenal soothing

On the other hand, this is what I strive for during times of high stress. It’s designed to calm the nervous system and support balanced cortisol levels, which is especially helpful when you’re feeling nervous, anxious, or overstimulated. I use it to help me relax before bed.

I also use and like the Universal Binder and Omega 3 Support (the liquid is great because you don’t have to swallow extra capsules). If you want to buy your gear now, we are also hosting a group detox event in May!

Lab test! ! If you are curious about functional lab testing, I will work with you to review your results for a zero coaching fee if you order any labs by Monday. You only pay the lab fee and I will review the results with you and help you develop an action plan based on the results. I recommend Big 5 Labs for the most comprehensive overview, but I also use and run Vita-Min Tox tests, stress mood and metabolism, and IgG food sensitivity tests every day in my health practice. Browse the labs here and you decide to order, please send me an email and I can add you to my client portal (gina@fitnessista.com Topic Labs)

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today! Have a great weekend and see you soon!

XOXO
