There is a way to find out if your company is planning to lay off employees.

How to announce you’re fired on LinkedIn

If you want to know if your company plans to lay off and hire at least 100 people, and if it plans to lay off at least 50 people, they are required to issue a WARN Act notice. This is a WARN Act notification.

Search Google for the WARN Act and your state, as they have state-level reporting requirements they must follow. This way, you can know in advance whether there are plans to lay off employees. Again, federal laws are enforced by the states. They must give 60 days’ notice if they plan to close a plant or lay off at least 50 people at a location.
