Our last one Season 2 ends with a slightly chaotic cliff notes with a lot of death and many different moving parts.

What did Ellie eavesdrop on Mel and Irving saying?

We already know Abby and most of her crew are AWOL in Episode 7, thanks to a conversation between WLF leader Jeffrey Wright and Commander Elise Park (Hettienne Park), who Isaac expressed concern that Abby, apparently, was missing.

Ellie manages to track Abby’s crew to their beachfront aquarium base, thanks to the last words from Nora (Tati Gabrielle), who eavesdrops on the conversation between Mel (Ariela Barer) and Owen (Spencer Lord) as she climbs into the building.

The top story of chaos

Here is a complete transcript:

Mel:”

Irving: “I know everything, but I have no choice, right? It’s Abby.”

Mel: “Of course, you have a choice. I chose too. I chose no, because it is Abby.”

Irving: “Good, I’ll do it myself as usual. I can do it there when I’m 30. If you’re still here, you can join and keep moving forward with us. If not, then not.”

Mel: “Fuck you, Irving.”

This is a bit secret, but at this stage, this is our biggest clue. So, what are Abby and her crew plan?

What is the Abby Project?

Given that Isaac doesn’t know where Abby and her friends are, it does seem that there are two possibilities: they intend to betray Isaac and WLF, or they intend to stand out for some reason.

Mel and Owen don’t have much communication, we can grab a lot of things, but the biggest clue is Mel’s “behind” comment. She seems to be referring here to the venous peaks, with WLF fighting cult-like factions – if Mel still sees them as enemies, it may rule out the possibility that Abby and her crew switched the sides altogether.

Is it possible that Abby intends to take her friends out of Seattle and WLF? Maybe try to start over where you are less struggling in violence? We have to wait until Season 3 to find out.

New episode Our last one Season 2 takes place at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max Sunday.
