Wayne White returns with “I Don’t Know”

In the past, Wayne White injected his outdated phrases into existing vintage lithographs. In White’s new show at Joshua Liner Gallery, titled “I Don’t Know,” the artist forged his own shortage of backgrounds in this set of paintings. The show lasts until February 8 in the space.
“Creating your own background allows White to explore specific subjects and give him complete control of himself through how text and background interact,” the gallery says. “In 2019, the artist began creating acrylic on canvas and acrylic on canvas cloudscapes, reminiscent of John Constable and Maxfield Parrish, adding sunsets with too ethereal text. These canvases continue to reflect White’s ironic wisdom while also clearly revealing the side he can easily reveal, revealing in his obvious ways, which is not painted with “”’ dopers of paint of paint of paints of paints of sugn of paints of sums of sums of sums”know, “adds a special tone to the exhibition. ”
