In William Mophos’ miniature works, the stimulation of childhood has been fully exhibited. Across the bricks, cracked tiles and other architectural materials throughout Sao Paulo, the Brazilian artist created a mixed media scene in which a toddler drinks from a water pipe or a young man walking dog. In size, diorama incorporates sculptural elements in acrylic, such as tiny triggers that spread out from the child’s feet or red balloons frozen in the acrylic pane.
What is shown here is hugea series that has been formed in the past five years. As they age, these materials evoke time and think of a nostalgic, longing craving filled with exploration and imagination. Find more Mophos jobs on his website and on Instagram.
