Original prototype of Jane Birkin’s Hermes bag shipped with Sotheby’s

Jane Birkin’s original Hermes Birkin handbag is one of the most iconic items in fashion and was commissioned to sell in Paris in Sotheby’s in July.
There is no public estimate for the handmade all-black leather prototype named after actresses, singers, models and fashion icons.
