Get iOS 26 per iPhone: Is your list in the list?

Apple will release a large number of new iOS iterations later this year, but as usual, some iPhones will not be able to run the operating system and will be abandoned in terms of features of the Apple ecosystem.

Tim Cook and friends announced and elaborated on iOS 26 on Monday at Apple’s annual WWDC keynote talk habits. The new version of iOS brings many new features, such as the new “liquid glass” design language, improved live translation and a much-needed restructuring of camera and photo apps. You may have noticed that we also jumped from iOS 18 to iOS 26, as Apple adopted a new OS naming program that focused on years rather than version numbers.

However, the news disappointed some iPhone owners. Each new version of iOS represents a new group of old iPhones that will be effectively associated with major software updates, incentivizing its owner to spend money on newer iPhones. Here is a list of iPhones that support iOS 26, for those who are curious about the status of older iPhones.

The list of iOS 26 compatible iPhones is as follows:

• iPhone SE (second generation and later only)

• iPhone 11, Pro and Pro Max

• iPhone 12, Mini, Pro and Pro Max

• iPhone 13, Mini, Pro and Pro Max

• iPhone 14, Plus, Pro and Pro Max

• iPhone 15, Plus, Pro and Pro Max

• iPhone 16, Plus, Pro and Pro Max

• iPhone 16e

You can also keep moving forward with a pencil in the iPhone 17 that has not yet been unified. This means that every iPhone model is older than the iPhone 11. The iPhone X Line owner who received iOS 18 last year would have to upgrade at some point if they want to take advantage of the new feature iOS 26 to bring a dining table. It is also worth noting that any Apple Intelligence feature will be limited to iPhone 15 and 16 models (until 17 models are inevitably announced).

iOS 26 has no official release date yet, but it is expected to drop by the end of the year.
