Apple’s new desktop operating system is called Macos Tahoe. It also incorporates the liquid glass aesthetic, with a completely free-floating menu bar at the top of the screen.

But Apple wants to change that, adding features that allow you to sync your views with others to share movies or other VR experiences. You both need to wear the Apple Vision Pro, so if you try to hug on the couch, be ready to wear your clumsy head.

Apple has also launched many features that have long been available in competitors such as Google Maps. The Visit Location feature in the map tracks where you have been and photos taken there. This is totally opt-in, so you have to turn it on and your location history is kept on the device. This is basically a timeline feature of Google Map, but it only works for Apple People.

In iOS 26, users can choose when to let the iPhone be in places like restaurants or stores and view all the places visited on the map.

Now, iPhones can use smart intelligence to better understand users’ daily routes and show them their preferred routes when they go home or in the office, notify them of delays and provide alternative routes.

CARPLAY

Other updates to Apple’s Carplay software were announced today. Next CarPlay adds customizable widgets and better filters incoming calls. You can also click a button while driving to respond to the text of Emoji. What’s wrong?
