iOS 26 adds “Emoji Game” for Apple News+ subscribers

Time and time again the Internet proves that it likes little puzzle games. Just check out all the very popular games The New York Times.
Now, Apple seems to be trying to break into the world. iOS 26 was announced this week at Apple’s Global Developers Conference (WWDC), which includes a new “emoji game” for Apple News+ subscribers.
The idea is that you fill in the blanks with emojis to complete the three phrases. Words or emojis can have dual meanings in phrases, so the goal is to solve puzzles in as few actions as possible.

You drag emojis into the empty space to solve the puzzle. People using iOS 26 beta and It’s Apple News+ subscribers who can start playing games today. It seems it will follow a script similar New YorkGame Products – Shareable puzzles every day that track your statistics.
In the press release, Apple was written:
“Users can share puzzles, track statistics and stripes and compete with others through the Game Center rankings. The emoji game has daily puzzles available in the United States as well as English-speaking users in Canada and can be accessed from the following tabs in the news app.”
If people like emoji games, this might be useful for getting people to subscribe to Apple News+. However, for $12.99 per month, it must be Very Good game.
