Win 1 million miles by flying Turkish Airlines to 6 continents

We’ve seen some interesting promotions that make a lot of miles after completing interesting challenges, sometimes even sometimes elite identity promotions.

For example, a few days ago, we wrote about how to earn 350,000 JetBlue TrueBlue points and mosaic elite identities, and if you fly to 25 JetBlue destinations, you can earn 350,000. Now, Türkiye’s Miles & Smiles enters the scene with their own promotions.

The terms and conditions make it sound easy on par: heading to the six continents of Turkish Airlines and winning a million miles.

But the devil is in the details. So here is the summary you should know before you first enter this promotion:

• You must book and fly between June 27 and October 27, 2025
• Qualified flights must originate in Istanbul or transit
• Booked flights operated by Turkish Airlines only
• The countries contained in each continent are defined in the chart on this page
• Your frequent customer account for each flight must be set to Miles & Smiles before travel (so you can’t enjoy the benefits from another Star Alliance state and then attribute your flight to Turkish)
• Only by reaching the destination can we complete the required continent (so New York-Stanbul-Toko is only Asia, but New York-Istanbul-Toko-Toko-Istanbul-New York York all regard Asia as Asia and North America)
• Reward tickets, company agreement tickets, group tickets, employee tickets and special passenger tickets (such as seafarers, medical and student tickets) do not qualify for this promotion
• Tickets purchased with the promotion code do not qualify for this promotion
• You must book through an authorized travel agency or Turkish Airlines website, mobile app or sales office

If you successfully access the six continents defined by this promotional rule, Türkiye will deposit miles into your account between November 1 and 15.

This is a lot of flights to accumulate a million miles (maybe more along the way). But, as TPG credit card writer Danyal Ahmed quickly pointed out: “On the Saver level, these are 15 one-way business-grade tickets between North America and Istanbul.” So if you think about it in these terms, you can get rid of the promotion with many potentially valuable reward travel as your award.

I personally have a lot of interest in this promotion, especially since I travel as a digital nomad and have a lot of open space in my travel schedule later this year. Istanbul is also one of my favorite cities, so I don’t mind taking multiple trips from the city if needed. However, it would be frustrating to be unable to attach the Star Alliance Gold Butes I received as an Asiana Diamond member to the Star Alliance Gold Butes Is Not a Turkish Miles & Smiles number instead of my Asiana number to attach the flight for this promotion to the flight for this promotion.

As someone who once took 18 flights in 16 days as part of the promotion, this has led me to get oneworld Sapphire status within two years, if you are considering this promotion, please give some advice: read and fully understand the terms and conditions of the promotion before planning and booking a flight. A small misunderstanding or mistake can mean you spend a lot of money trying to implement this promotion without having to earn rewards.
