Greece has a color that appears in a completely new way to reorder the senses. Cobalt is not just blue, it is depth, salt and shadow at once. The cream is not neutral, it is bone, plaster, and the bottom of fig leaves. Together they are the palette I have been sliding into, unknowingly reverberating the rhythm of the island. Aegean color is not a trend. They are a mood, a memory, a way of observation. Now they are everything I want to wear. Our first day in Greece began with a 7-hour boat ride in Paros. Water is a bright color and the heat in summer is cold but refreshing. We walked around, stopped for lunch in the windless wall co, and then jumped into the water to cool down. As everyone’s jets stagnated, the swaying of the ship slowly stuffed us all into a quiet nap and then returned to land.
