Hyatt and Rees’ book club team work together for a lower-than-canvas experience

If you love Glamping, reading and summer fun, you’re in luck – Hyatt just announced a new camp experience this summer at Select Office Properties in Canvas Properties. You can now book unwritten experiences with Hyatt Hotel’s Discover Experience program, allowing members to enjoy pre-prepared meals, fireside chats and book-inspired experiences while roaming with bestselling authors and other literary fans.

Throughout this summer, the unwritten experience will be a collaboration between World of Hyatt, Rees’ book club and under the canvas. “With Booktok, Bookstagram, experience travel and outdoor adventures, we all have a while and we see a great opportunity to bring all of this together,” said Laurie Blair, senior vice president of global marketing at Hyatt. “The camping without writing has allowed our members to unplug and grab the feeling of leadership roles – comfortable fanatic readings, wide skies and straight out of summer novels. This is another way we continue to tend to bring members who inspire joy and connection to them.”

You can book a limited-time camp experience or cash by looking for an experience platform until these sessions sell out. Unwritten experiences available this summer include:

If you are considering redemption points for camp unwritten experience, we recommend that you calculate your redemption rate. TPG’s June 2025 valuation fixed the value of Hyatt Point at 1.7 cents per type, so ideally you want to get at least this value from the points when redeemed.

If you book a paid experience instead of redemption points, you earn 10 points per dollar. Also, if you pay with a Hyatt Credit Card (see Rates and Fees) or a Hyatt Business Credit Card (see Fees and Fees), your search experience earns 4 bonus points per dollar.

Bottom line

These unwritten camps look epic, especially if you like the book or plan to plan a given conference around the author.

Please note that the availability of these experiences is limited, so if you are passionate about attending a specific meeting, you will need to book quickly. But even if you missed these experiences, you can still enjoy a year of free headspace subscription if you book your accommodation at any canvas property or Ulum location later in June. Additionally, you can earn a mile per dollar per dollar during participation time of the canvas location during your reservation at the Hyatt from September 15 to September 15.
