Dorothy

Taking the chart to the next level, the UK-based studio collective Dorothy created prints of celebration messages – pictures, maps, letters, colored wheels and blueprints. The team is also trapped in the world of cutting drawings that are popular to visualize otherwise opaque multi-layered objects in the manufacturing world.
Cut diagrams have actually existed for centuries, with their form originating from the notebooks of the 15th-century Italian Renaissance engineer Mariano “Taccola” De Jacopo. Dorothy’s distortion on 3D graphics, titled Internal informationis a celebration of popular culture and modern technology, from Apple and sneakers to sports boxes and phytoplanktons.
Each object is filled with characters and patterns that play a role in the history and culture of the project, such as pioneering rappers and hip-hop artists who wander in “Inside Information: Boombox” as if it were a building. The same is true for Moog, which highlights Flashpoint in its development, as well as music icons like David Byrne and Led Zeppelin, who contributed to their popularity – the same name, Robert Moog of course.
Prints can be purchased on Dorothy’s website, and you can follow updates and posts on Instagram.
