American Airlines AAdvantage is currently offering some new promotions that, while unlikely to significantly change your plans, will significantly increase your AAdvantage mile balance.
During the My Goal promotion, get 100 bonus miles just for signing up. It took me less than a minute. Once you sign up, you can earn an additional 3,000 miles when you book with American Airlines’ hotel and car rental partners. You can find this offer under the Promotions tab in your AAdvantage account, accessible through the American Airlines website or app.

According to reports, some members also enjoy several other benefits, including earning 500 bonus miles for shopping through the AAdvantage eShopping platform, dining at participating AAdvantage Dining restaurants or purchasing tickets through the AAdvantage Events platform. You’ll earn 500 bonus miles for each category and an additional 1,000 bonus miles for completing two out of three. In addition to the 100 miles you get when you sign up, you can earn up to 2,600 miles with this offer.
Unfortunately, you can’t earn loyalty points.

- Register before 11:59pm CT on December 31, 2025 and earn 100 AAdvantage® bonus miles
- Earn 750 AAdvantage® award miles when you stay at participating hotels booked on the AAdvantage Hotels™ platform before February 28, 2026
- Earn 750 AAdvantage® bonus miles when you rent a car through the AAdvantage Cars™ platform through February 28, 2026
- Complete both activities before February 28, 2026 and earn an additional 1,500 AAdvantage® bonus miles
TPG’s December 2025 valuation puts AAdvantage miles at 1.55 cents each, so 3,100 miles would be worth about $48. Not bad for a few minutes of your time.
bottom line
American Airlines is running a new targeted promotion where you can earn up to 3,100 bonus miles once you sign up and complete various activities. It’s not an amazing deal by any means, but I always get a few extra bonus miles. This is also a great way to reset the validity of your miles. Keep in mind that if you don’t have status or hold one of the airline’s credit cards, AAdvantage miles will expire after two years of inactivity.
