Winter may feel far away, but ski season will be here before you know it – now, this is the perfect time to grab the ikon pass and start planning your upcoming season adventure. While these are not the lowest prices of the year, interest rates will rise again in the near future, so buying still means substantial savings. Plus, with the addition of several new European resorts, the ikon Pass gets better, which offers skiers and skiers more mountain exploration than ever before.
Whether you are planning only a few trips or chasing powder throughout the season, Ikon Pass has the option to choose the ski style that suits you. Buy early and make it easier to book the best ramp hotel on points.
So let’s take a look at the pass and see the options for this winter.
Ikon Pass Basics
The Ikon Pass network is now composed of more than 60 ski resorts around the world. Some of them offer unlimited skiing, while others have limited days depending on the exact type of Ikon Pass you purchased.
Qualified resorts can vary by passing levels. These resorts include larger and smaller names such as Aspen Snowman, Steamboat Ski Resort, Copper Mountain, Palisades Tahoe, Mammoth Ski Area, Deer Valley Resort, Jackson Cave Mountain Resort, Mont Tremblant, Toos Ski Valley, Big Sky Resort, Big Sky Resort, Sugarloaf and Strattonnon Mountain Resort in Canada and Canada and other areas.

The ikon basic pass is cheaper and has some restrictions. Complete Ikon Pass; and a two-day, three-day or four-day conference pass.

2025-2026 ikon pass price
For the 2025-2026 ski season, the full pass prices for ikon are:

- Adults: $1,429
- Skiers aged 13 to 22: $1,089
- College Student/Nurse/Military Member: $1,059
- Children aged 5 to 12: $439
- Children aged 4 and under: $149 (although remember that many mountains offer free skiing for kids aged 4 to 5)
The pass has no power outage dates and offers unlimited skiing at 18 destinations, with up to 7 days on 43 hills.
During the 2025-2026 ski season, the price of the Ikon basic pass is:
- Adults: $1,009
- Skiers aged 13 to 22: $739
- College Student/Nurse/Military Member: $729
- Children aged 5 to 12: $369
- Children aged 4 and under: $99 (although many mountainous areas offer free skiing for kids aged 4 to 5)
The basic pass has several peak power outage dates, unlimited skiing at 14 destinations and up to 5 days on another 41 mountain ranges.
The power outage dates include December 27-31, 2025; January 17-18, 2026; and February 14-15, 2026. The power outage dates in the southern hemisphere include July 5-20, 2025 and July 4-19, and 2026.

During the 2025-2026 ski season, the Ikon Session Pass pricing is:
- Adults: $489 for four days, $409 for three days, $329 for two days
- Skiers aged 13 to 22: $409 for four days, $339 for three days, $279 for two days
- College Student/Nurse/Military Member: $409 for four days, $339 for three days, $279 for two days
- Children aged 0 to 12: $299 for four days, $249 for three days, $219 for two days (although many mountains offer free skiing for kids aged 4 or 5)
Although power outage dates are available for all resorts, this pass can ski at up to 44 destinations. For adults, this means $122 to $165 a day, which may or may not be a good choice depending on where you want to ski.
For example, at Steamboat, a one-day walk-lift ticket with peak dates can exceed $300, while 4 of the 5-day tickets can cost as much as $1,266. This makes the pass worth it. However, if you are an East Coast skier, you may not find it a useful deal.
Remember that while the lowest early bird rate is over, the ikon pass is still much lower than what you pay later this year. Prices are expected to increase this fall through before the sale, usually in early December. Since the price will never be below its initial release rate, the earlier you purchase, you can save on the ski season. So if you want to ski at less speeds, lock your pass shortly before the next round of price increases.
New things in the 2025-2026 season
If you had an Ikon pass last year, there are some enhancements this winter, as well as losses and increases in some resorts.
People in New York State will regret to hear that Windham Mountain Club will no longer be any Ikon Pass product for the upcoming season.
Those looking to ski in Europe can now use ISCHGL in Austria, offering 1,237 acres of ski terrain. The resort is also usually longer than most people, from November to May, with snow. Iken has also just announced the entry of Valle d’Aosta in Italy, which includes five different mountains.
In the Northeast and Midwest, Ikon works with four other resorts, and as part of their “Bonus Mountain” benefits, Ikon Pass holders will receive two free (non-scattered) days at the following resorts (note that people with Ikon Base Pass are not able to gain access):
- Wild Mountain (Minnesota)
- Buck Hill Ski & Ski Area (Minnesota)
- Cranmore Mountain Resort (New Hampshire)
- Jimini Mountain Resort (Massachusetts)
There are also some access changes (although not many). Now, Arapahoe Basin will have unlimited access with Ikon Pass, which is very useful for people living near or near Colorado. Taos Ski Valley is now part of the Ikon Base Pass.
Ikon Pass Partners also offers more money-saving discounts like Gravity Haus, Whitespace, 4frnt Skis & Gear and Sixt.
In addition, bookings will still be required for the selected resorts for the 2025-2026 season.

Guaranteed plan
Making expensive purchases, not knowing what will bring next season will be horrible.
Fortunately, Eiken still offers a “confidence buying” plan for the 2025-2026 season. This will be automatically included in your boost ticket price. This allows any pass holder to obtain the application price (2026-2027 in this case) for any reason, without any question raised for any reason.
You must select this option by December 11, 2025. Note: If you have purchased a pass in the spring and used it during the spring ski season, you will not be eligible for credit.
Using the Payment Plan
Ski passes are a huge investment. Fortunately, if you want to lock in the current price and assign payments, there is a payment plan option.
You’ll drop $0 and choose to assign payments to three, six or 12 months, just pay attention to the annual percentage. During checkout, you can view your options and costs based on the selected plan.

Point-friendly properties in Ikon Pass Resorts
You can also do factors in the hotel when you draw 2025-2026 ski passes and resorts.
The Marriott properties seem to be consistent with the Ikon Pass most often, while the Hyatt properties are generally well aligned with the Epic Pass. However, there are exceptions.
