How to book a castle in Scotland with Hilton points

Did you know you can use your hotel points to stay in the castle?
Like the actual, real-world castles that Queen Victoria once lived, cover 500 acres of Scottish Heights near Fort William. one castle castle.
Well, you can definitely stay in the castle with the hotel points, we just did. We booked a 17-room Inverlocy Castle Hotel accommodation, which starts with 110,000 Hilton honor points per night. This may sound like a lot of points, but since the cash rate starts around $1,000, this is actually a very solid Hilton Honors point, especially considering that this is the castle.

As you might expect, the reason for the Castle Hotel is exquisite. With 500 acres of lush acres nestled in the mountains and green areas, you need to budget for some time to enjoy outside.

The inside of the castle feels like you’ve walked into a centuries-old manor that has been passed down from generation to generation, which is usually not my atmosphere. However, this is a castle, so the decoration is suitable for the environment and can help you pretend you lived in Scotland for several episodes of “Crown” during the summer vacation.

Book a room in Inverlochy Castle
When they were cheap we booked a room (up to two stays) for 105,000 Hilton Honors Points per night.
Expert tips: You can earn up to 175,000 Hilton honorary points with welcome offers on Hilton’s cards or transfer points (sometimes receiving transfer bonuses), such as shows like American Express membership rewards and Chase Ultimate Rewards.
When staying on standard Hilton points, the room choice is in the main castle or in a separate walled garden. I live in the main castle but since we need multiple rooms we have one room in the garden area where you will find another eight. The garden room does look more modern and has a larger bathroom, so each option has benefits and disadvantages. That said, if there is a choice, I might choose the main castle.

Here are pictures of the two rooms we owned in the castle itself. Just know that if you travel like us, you may have to book multiple rooms, so plan ahead as it is really limited in the castle.

Dining in the castle (sometimes free, thanks to elite status)
As a Hilton Golden Member (By American Express Platinum Card®; Registration required), we were told to include a full breakfast. It’s a delicious treat with a small buffet table with mainland options (can be sourced locally if possible) and lists menus for ordering such as Scottish breakfasts, ongoing sea trout and pancakes.

Like everything on the castle, it’s not just what you serve, but how it serves – in this case it really stands out and makes it unique when surrounded by charming sets and flowers in China.
We skipped the fancy multi-style dinner, you can book a regular seat in the evening, but we do love to have tea and enjoy soups, burgers and sandwiches by the fireplace, and after the formal dinner, enjoy soups, burgers and sandwiches in the backstage with live pianists.

Even if you aren’t eating at Inverlochy Castle (although you should!), I highly recommend taking the time to buy cocktails, alcohol-free or wine or whiskey, as the choice is long and the atmosphere cannot be beaten.

Go to Inverlochy Castle
If you’re wondering how you actually got to the property, nearby Fort William can be accessed by Jacob-style steam trains, which makes the Harry Potter movie series famous. So if you tend to do that, you can encounter that kind of iconic train and this castle on the same trip.
Otherwise, if you choose to rent a car after flying in both cities, the castle is a scenic drive from Edinburgh (about three hours) and Glasgow (about 2 1/2 hours).
Is it worth staying in the castle?

The entire experience of the entire experience in the high ceilings and chandeliers, live piano music, historic and ambience of billiards room, flawless grounds, chess by the fireplace and cozy towel racks, the entire experience of the entire experience in the real Scottish Castle on the Hilton Viewpoint is truly special in the Hilton Points, which is our more spacious trip with us, and we have appeared on the larger tours on the bigger tour.
Sometimes you only need hotel points to stay overnight conveniently somewhere, but sometimes accommodation can be a memorable part of the experience itself. Inverlochy Castle is definitely in our latter category and it is undoubtedly worth the Hilton view of booking our unforgettable accommodation.
