Strolling to the Cornwall Studio in Kirsty Elson, you might greet a bunch of creatures, as well as driftwood and rusty metal debris. The artist (formerly) searches on local beaches and embankments, with impeccable ability to envision piglets’ ears or dog’s noses from weathered wood. Once inside her studio, quirky characters emerge from scratches and worn materials, their lively personalities shining in the signs of age.

Elson sells some of her sculptures on her website, and you can follow her work on Instagram.
