YouTube is testing the creator collaboration, similar to Instagram, Tiktok

Social media Ouroboros continues, this time, YouTube is taking a bite on Instagram and Tiktok. According to a release from Google employees on YouTube Help, the platform is currently testing a new feature that allows creators to tag collaborators directly in videos, making it easier for viewers to spot and follow them.
The move reflects similar collaboration tools already standard on Tiktok and Instagram, where joint posts and hashtags can improve visibility for everyone involved.
Mixable light speed
You can no longer live stream on Instagram unless you have 1000 followers
Currently, the feature is being rolled out to a small number of trusted creators, but YouTube reportedly plans to expand it more broadly. As of now, the only known videos we’ve seen using the feature are recently uploaded from Mrbeast in partnership with Creators Mark Robert, Ben Azelart and Stoke Twins.

The functionality of this feature is very similar to the counterparts on Instagram and Tiktok: Clicking the name of the main creator opens a pop-up window showing all tagged collaborators, each collaborator with a subscription button next to its name. And, like these platforms, it’s unlikely that creators will tag anyone at will – collaborators may need to accept invitations before they can officially co-authors.
