Spark Miles for Business Welcome Offer
Spark Miles’ business is currently offering a 50,000-mile welcome bonus after spending $4,500 in purchases in the first three months of account opening.
You can easily redeem miles, each fixed value is 1 cent, in which case the 50,000 miles of bonus is worth $500. But TPG’s September 2025 valuation will be worth a mile at a rate of 1.85 cents, which is worth 50,000 miles and worth $925.
You can also get more value depending on the transfer partner you use and whether there is a transfer bonus when redeeming miles.

Spark miles are business benefits
Spark Miles’ business isn’t as good as some high-priced business cards offer, but it still offers reliable allowances for cards with annual fees of as little as $100.
A useful benefit is that a declared credit of up to $120 per four years is for global admission fees or TSA Precheck application fees. Both programs make travel easier and you just need to pay the application fee with your Spark Miles card to trigger the credit range (usually within 2 billing cycles).
If you already have membership for these programs, you can make your credit as an employee.

When you use Spark Miles as a business card to purchase qualified items, you will also receive an extended warranty protection in addition to the following benefits, which may be especially useful for small businesses:
- Account and business management tools: Select your own monthly due date, set up automatic payments and download the expenditure report listed at the end of the year.
- Ability to assign employees as account managers: The employee can then make purchases and payments and review transactions.
- Hertz’s five-star identity: With Hertz, receive status, skip the counter and select location, and select from a wider range of car rental options.
- No fees to staff card: Add employees as authorized users and set expenditure limits for their cards.
- No foreign transaction fees: Purchase overseas without accumulating additional fees because you are not abroad.
*After registration, it can be accessed through the Capital One website or mobile app, and qualified cardholders will maintain this status level during the quotation period. Please note that registration through the regular Hertz Gold Plus Rewards admission process (for example, on Hertz.com) does not automatically detect cardholders because they qualify for the program and cardholders do not automatically upgrade to the applicable status tier. Other terms apply.

Earn miles on business in Spark Miles
Spark Miles’ beauty for business is its direct income structure. Every dollar spent annually, your annual hat, plus 5 miles per dollar, spend every dollar spent on hotels, vacation rentals and rentals booked through Capital One Travel, earn 2 miles.

While it makes things simple, the lack of additional reward categories means that there are more meaningful options for business-specific spending (such as office supplies).

Redeem miles on Spark Miles
You can redeem miles with Capital One’s over 15 transfer partners to boost your business trip.
Take TPG contributor Matt Moffitt, who used Capital One’s transfer partners for redemption, such as Lufthansa’s top-notch award seats between the United States and Europe, at 116,000 Capital when booking through Avianca Lifemiles.

Transfer miles will make you the most rewarding, but if you are simple you can buy it for a trip with a fixed value of 1 cent. You can use miles when booking a basic trip to a new trip or use miles for any qualified, recent trip purchases you made using a card.

Is Spark Miles worth it for the business?
If you are looking for simplicity, Spark Miles for the business may be a good card for all your business spending, as it earns a fixed bonus rate on all purchases (unless you keep traveling through Capital One Travel, in which case you get a higher bonus rate). However, even if you already have one or more cards that earn reward miles in certain categories, your business’ Spark Miles may be able to improve your purchases without being part of your current bonus category.
Bottom line
Spark Miles’ Business is a nice card for business owners and managers who don’t want to track bonus categories and want an easy way to track all the fees.
