Recruiting staff. You cannot live with them, nor can you live without them. One thing I know is that most job seekers hate recruiters and learn something from successful recruiters.
What recruiters are looking for when scanning, and don’t look for it
Here are three very simple things you can do to improve your LinkedIn profile and get better results from it. I’m Jeff Alen’s big hunter. People don’t have employed my BS job coaches and career advice worldwide because the process of finding a job and being successful is easier.
The first is to update your pictures. No one wants to see your five and six-year-old images. Make it more up-to-date. After all, the definition of five years ago might be SD. Go find your own high-definition photos. Also update the image behind the image. You can get images from many sites without taking them away. Don’t do a Google search and try to steal pictures. There are free image sites out there, such as Unsplash, Pixels, Pixabay, which can help you use free background images.
Second, work on the title below your name because again this is the first thing people see. Look for something along the line instead of being unemployed or looking for a job or opening up. Instead, give some introduction to your impact on your organization. For me, people don’t hire me for BS job coaches and career advice etc. etc. “You know, you want to cut costs by 15% like I did for other companies? Contact me.” Some things along these lines are much more productive than saying you’re already unemployed.
The third thing is to add real numbers to each job description in your job on your profile, rather than blurring it. Give real numbers because the company thinks that’s what you can do.
