Sharing details about the upcoming Dr. Cabral’s 7-Day Detox. If you would like, please share the details here and how to join!
Hi friends! How was your morning? I hope you had a great long weekend! As soon as I got back from San Diego, the activities started again: basketball games, family hikes, ice cream and pizza nights. It’s perfect.
It’s hard to believe that the holidays flew by so quickly and we’re back to the school year again. To be honest, my progress has been slow this year. It’s taken me a little longer to get back on track – last week I finally unveiled my 2026 plans – and if many of you feel the same, I think we should wait to start our Fitnessista Community Detox.

I feel great after every round and it’s been a few months so I’m ready for another round. Usually every January, I do some type of reset. Sometimes I cut out sugar and alcohol entirely for the month, other times, I just focus on solid nutrition. This is something I look forward to every quarter since I started doing this detox a few years ago.
It’s great to get back into the habit of eating (and craving) vegetables and fresh foods, especially after happily feasting on holiday sweets and cocktails.
Community detox details
Moderation is one of my passions these days, especially since the days of depriving yourself are long gone. If I want something sweet or something more indulgent, I’ll eat it and enjoy every bite. A few months passed and I was feeling a little sluggish and craving sugar more than usual. Usually when a new year rolls around, I look forward to getting back to more “normal” eating habits. I like to kick it off with a little reset, and my favorite strategy is this functional liver-based medicinal detox.
A lot of you joined me last time, so if you want to do another round, I’d like to invite you to join. this The fun starts on February 2ndso you can order your kit now and get ready to go!

Here’s more information about the 7-day detox:
– This is a liver-based detox Helps reset your body, giving you a temporary break from digesting greasy foods and potentially helping your body eliminate the toxins we accumulate from the environment. It contains functional medicinal ingredients and Ayurvedic herbs to support Phase I and Phase II liver detoxification.
– Pay attention to nutrition. It includes POWERHOUSE Daily Nutritional Support Powder (I’ve been adding this to my daily protein pudding for years and noticed a huge difference in how I feel after adding it), as well as meal guides for the remaining meals. The goal is to not deplete your body of nutrients in the process.
– It may help with weight losstogether with Anti-aging and total body health.
——Only 7 days! When I first started working with a naturopath (in the old days! Like 2010), he put me on a month-long detox that was similar (but without the Ayurvedic supplements).
It was much easier to do it for 7 days, and I feel like the extra nutritional support made my results better. (The first two days are just supplements and smoothies – I usually add some berries – and on the third day you can add in nutrient-dense meals using their meal guide/template.) It’s also very flexible; Many people skip fasting days and start planning on day three (morning smoothie, vegan lunch, paleo dinner) with great results.

6 main ingredients included in this plan:
1) N-Acetyl Cysteine (NAC), which can stimulate the production of glutathione in the body
2) Glutathione, an antioxidant that aids in healing and liver detoxification
3) Broccolidin, an antioxidant that can enhance the liver’s detoxification ability
4) Lipoic acid, another antioxidant that can improve detoxification
5) Triphala, a trio of Ayurvedic herbs that support detoxification and digestion
6) Vitamins and minerals to support the body and help bridge nutritional gaps
Each detox kit includes the following:
Daily nutritional support:
This one-stop shop for vitamins, minerals, proteins, electrolytes and antioxidants is the heart and soul of Dr. Cabral Detox. Daily Nutritional Support contains 15 grams of vegan protein to provide your body with much-needed energy and nutrients while your body begins to eliminate toxins.
FM Detox:
FM Detox leverages the latest research in functional medicine to provide the compounds needed to support both stages of liver detoxification. Essential amino acids, antioxidants, and plant extracts like milk thistle help the body capture toxins and move them to the liver, where they can be metabolized and eliminated in phase two. Ingredients like dandelion root extract support bile production and help eliminate bile. As a diuretic, dandelion root increases the flow of water to the liver, thereby promoting the elimination of toxins in the urine.
Ayu detoxification:
AM Detox helps start the detoxification process by incorporating ancient Ayurvedic healing traditions that support optimal detoxification. Various diuretics divert water to the liver and increase the solubility of toxins. Trichosanthes is a combination of three plants: amla officinalis, terminalia terminalia, and terminalia terminalia, which have been studied for their role in gastrointestinal health. When used together, this powerful trio promotes the growth of beneficial gut microbes Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus while inhibiting the growth of undesirable strains.

Things I’ve noticed after multiple detoxes:
– As someone who has had gallbladder issues in the past (I was able to resolve them on my own), I always like to give my liver a little extra support. I no longer have gallbladder pain (I think quitting fake meats helped too) and after my first detox, I continue to do it quarterly.
– My energy may have been a little low on the first day, but by the afternoon of the second day, I feel amazing. I have more energy, focus, glowing skin, and feel great.
– This is usually a very easy month for my cycle. I don’t have any cramps or PMS symptoms, and I’ve learned that in the months when I’m more strategic about exercise, sleep, stress relief, and nutrition, my cycles are uneventful in the best way possible.
– It reset my taste buds. As I included more sugar in my diet, foods like fruit and salad began to taste mellower. By getting everything back to basics, it reawakened my sense of food flavor and I could fully enjoy my meals again and be present at meal time.
– I don’t weigh myself regularly but have noticed that my clothes fit better after a complete detox. I feel less bloated and inflamed. You can read my review of my first detox and the recipes I used here!
This detox is not right for you if:
– You currently have an eating disorder or are recovering from an eating disorder. Keep working on improving your relationship with food and health, and know that I am cheering you on and sending you my love and support.
– You are training for a strenuous event or need to maintain a super active lifestyle. On days 1-2, you need to relax (walk, stretch, gentle yoga, or do nothing). If you can’t do that, you can do a modified version of detoxing by eating smoothies for breakfast and lunch, followed by a nutritious dinner in the evening. If you have questions about how to do this, please let me know!
– You have any health problems that would prevent you from joining.
****As always, consult your doctor before making fitness or nutritional changes. Respect your body. *****
