Coming soon

Prices for traveling to Europe are rising.
The European Union has been planning to launch travel authorizations for tourists for years, but it will finally arrive at the end of next year. And before it even started, prices had risen sharply.
When it was initially unveiled, the price should be just 7 euros (about 8 US dollars), but now it costs 20 euros (about 23 US dollars).
However, there is some good news because young people over 18 don’t need to have one. Nevertheless, this may add up to multiple family members.
Travel authorization is called the European Travel Information and Authorization System (or short ETIA). When visiting most European countries, it will require travelers from countries outside the Schengen region to complete the application before arrival.
Essentially, this is a visa process similar to the current system that the UK has now formulated.
You will be able to apply through the online portal, but I hope it will also end up with an official app.
Hopefully it’s as easy as the UK version I wrote earlier this year. New UK e-tourism application opens in November. Applications are easy through the official government app, but you can do it online as well.

For American tourists, this is also a system type that has been around for many years. (The person is called a travel authorization electronic system.)

Etias will allow visitors from 60 countries outside the Schengen region, including the UK and the US, to enter Europe for up to 90 days in a 180-day period without a full visa. Those who require a visa, such as visitors from India, do not need to apply for ETIAS.
When we learned that Europe will start scanning visitors’ passports in October this year, the news came as it will conduct biometric screening for all inbound passengers. This means there are no more passport stamps when traveling to and from the EU.
As we learn more details on how to apply and get timeline information, we will gain more coverage.
