Transfer Chase Points or book a hotel with Chase Travel?

Many travelers love to redeem reward points from Chase Chase Ultimate Rewards to stay through ChaseTravel℠Portal. This is especially true, boosting allows qualified cardholders to redeem hotel points through Chase Travel, up to 2 cents per point, depending on the card and redemption.

If you have one of the following cards, you can also transfer chase points in a 1:1 ratio to choose a hotel’s loyalty program (IHG one reward, Marriott Bonvoy and World of Hyatt) and cash out your stay through the program:

Whether you book through Chase Travel Portal or transfer to the Hotel Partner Loyalty Program and then redeemed through the program, booking accommodation is relatively easy, so booking shouldn’t be a factor. However, there are two important aspects to consider when deciding how to redeem hotel accommodation. So, let’s dive in.

Points required for your stay

The easiest way to determine if you should transfer your chase points to a hotel loyalty program or book a hotel through a chase trip is to compare the number of points you need to redeemed. If you want to book a specific Hyatt, IHG or Marriott hotel, you can compare the points cost to the properties redeemed through the Hotel Loyalty Program via the Chase Travel portal.

For example, I could transfer 4,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards Points to the Hyatt Hotel and redeem 3,500 Hyatt Points at Hyatt Place Attranta Airport-South.

But if I want to book a Chase trip with my points Chase Sapphire’s preferred card Account, I need to redeem 11,538 chase points on the same night. And if I apply for Chase Sapphire Preferred after June 22, I can only get 1% of my income on this booking and need to be redeemed for 14,423 points.

Whenever I apply for a card, in this case I will make a reward by transferring Chase points to Hyatt and booking a reward and in this case.

If you don’t have a specific property to book, you can still compare your options by traveling through Chase Travel and checking reward rates via Marriott, IHG and Hyatt box office. This will allow you to compare your options and the chase points that everyone needs to redeem.

The benefits of loyalty programs

The second aspect to consider is the loyalty program benefits when you book directly (including reward stops). For example, when I booked directly with Hyatt, Marriott and IHG, I was happy to receive benefits due to my hotel elite status. Plus, I love earning elite qualification nights to get elite status through these programs. After all, these programs offer an elite-based night, even in rewards.

When you book through Chase Travel, such as the selected properties booked on Chase Travel, you usually don’t get benefits and elite income from your loyalty program. So I use Chase Travel to book hotels outside of major hotel loyalty programs such as boutiques or independent hotels.

Bottom line

Comparing your choices is important and can help you get more value from the Chase Ultimate Rewards point.

For example, my sister has Chase Sapphire’s first choice And intends to book a one-night stay on a road trip through the Chase Travel Portal to get around 20,000 chase points. But before she did this, I found a comparable category 1 Hyatt Hotel, and if she transferred her chase points to Hyatt and then redeemed the Hyatt points for her accommodation, it only cost 5,000 points on the same night. In this case, she saved about 15,000 chase points only by transferring points to Hyatt instead of booking through the Chase Travel Portal.

If you don’t have a premium Ultimate Reward Card that transfers partner access, now is a good time to apply. this Chatong Sapphire Reserve The current welcome discount of 100,000 points, and $500 for Chase Travel promotional credit, costing $5,000 in the first three months of opening an account, Chase Sapphire Reserve A purchase of $30,000 was spent in the first six months of opening and 200,000 bonus points are welcome.
