I’m going to get the cat out of my bag
Third-party recruiters are very busy. As a result, many of them make shortcuts when posting their work on a job board or on their own website.
In most cases, we get the work specifications from the client so that we have the best information about the job, it is not really the best information about the job; it is the approved specification. In most cases, the longer the interview is, the deformation of the work specifications will occur.
This week, I received an email from my coaching client.
He had submitted his resume to an agent who promised to call him back later that day, but did not call him back 48 hours later. Deep inside him, he knew the man kissed him, even though his resume was a good fit for the job.
He asked me, “What should I do?”
I replied, “Send me the specifications you see from the agent and let me see if I can find a job.”
At this point I took a laptop and wireless access to the bus, so it was a little slower than when using an office or home email, but I still got the job in less than 5 minutes.
how?
Simple.
I searched by using several sentences required by the assignment. I will also try some job description sentences if necessary, but this is not required.
I found the original job at the work site. Now, when I go to the website, it seems that the position has expired on their website, what I find is something cached.
I discovered a part of the organization’s name and went to their website and found that senior management was listed there.
If management is not listed there, I know some websites that can find out the manager’s name, maybe it has been searched for it using LinkedIn or Google.
That’s OK, it’s a great technique when you’re rejected by an agent, really knowing you’re right and wanting to submit your resume.
