Disney Cruise Tips and Tips

If you are your first cruise, share my top 10 Disney cruise tips and tips!
Hi, friends! Are you OK? I hope you have a great morning. We brought Europe into summer in Part 1 of Harneys, and we started the party with the Sixth Disney Parade. I’ll share all the details when I come back, but for today’s post, I want to share some of my best Disney parade tips ever, especially if you’re number one.
My Top 10 Disney Parade Tips and Tips
So, that’s why Disney Parade #6; the whole family fascinates them. TBH, I always have a little pleasant idea of the cruising. Things about a group of partying college students during spring break and the casino resonance doesn’t sound like an ideal family vacation, especially when the girls are really young. I’m also a little scared about going out in the ocean.
Our friends told us how much they love Disney, especially because of cleaning, food and entertainment, so we decided to give it a try. Needless to say, we were blown away and since then, we have done at least one Disney cruise a year.
Now, we have some experience and I am confident that I can share some tips that will help us as newbies, or we have learned some tips along the way. I feel like I can write the entire series now, but that’s my big tip!
When checking in, pack a separate pool bag and change clothes.
They take their luggage away upon arrival and it magically appears in your room within a few hours. At the same time, carry the pool bag with you and head to the pool! This is the least of the people throughout the journey and all the leisure pool decks are also open for consumption. It was so fun to watch the kids glide and hang out in the pool while having a buffet lunch or some tacos + drinks of the day.
Order coffee the night before
If you want to have coffee in the morning, please go through room service in the evening. It reaches the carafe and remains warm all night long. They also have a small refrigerator where you can store creamer. Room service is bound – you only need a tip. Usually, I bring some cash to get room service tips.
Dining rotation
Each boat has about three main restaurants that you rotate every night. You will be assigned an early meal (usually 5:45) or dinner (8:15) and there is the same server and assistant every night. If you don’t dine in the main restaurant, there’s one Broadway– Quality shows that you can attend at the opposite time (e.g., dinner parties go to early show and go to supper). Alternatively, you can skip the show, skip the main meal, order room service or have a quick bite and head to the pool to watch a movie and swim. One night we skipped the main meal and the show, and the kids rode on the water slide like 19 times.
In the restaurant you can order anything you want from the menu. Want all the appetizers? Want to try every dessert? Want two lobster tails? Live the best life. Their allergies and dietary requirements are also incredible. When I told them I was gluten-free (things I avoided rather than allergies for health reasons), they had gluten-free rolls waiting for me every night.
The secret of room service
We have never seen how many tours the official room service menu has been made. I know they have such as Mickey ice cream bars, milk and cookies, Mac and cheese, pizza, chicken tenders, etc. But there are some secrets: they have a cake or pie one day (ask them what they taste) and a cheese board (you can ask for gluten-free cookies).
This app is your friend
The Disney Cruise app is actually amazing. You can track all plans and tours through the app, send messages to friends and family through the app, and view the daily navigator whose schedule and location are the schedule and location of the day’s activities. They have a lot of things happening on board every day: movies, character greetings, dance parties, trivia, karaoke, bingo, towels, towel folding classes, and more. You can also book extras such as wine tasting, whiskey tasting, spa services and adult-only dining.
Bring a pop-up basket and carry some laundry cabins with you
(If you plan to do laundry)
I always do my laundry on the last day on the boat. There are fewer suitcases with a suitcase full of clean clothes than dirty clothes. The laundry room is great (especially on wishes; it’s huge), and the app will alert you when it comes to swapping machines.
Decorate your door
I don’t know how big it is, but there are a lot of home decorating their doors. It’s very fun to customize them. Etsy has a lot of great magnets, and while you don’t have to go too far (some families do it completely, and I love seeing it), the kids love it.
If you like popcorn, get popcorn bucket
We bought popcorn buckets on the first day (about $13), and when you are on board you can refill popcorn for about $3.00. The kids love to be with us at shows, Disney Popcorn is just ++++++.
Tips/tips for Disney Parade
The only time you need to tip during your cruise is to order room service and at the end of the cruise. They provide very few envelopes for your servers, assistant servers, cabin hosts, and more throughout the last day. The estimated amount they provide to everyone you help during your stay depends on how many people there are at your party. The exact amount has changed, but for us, each person usually totals a few hundred dollars and at the end of your trip your account charges.
If you want to pay extra, you can place a small document with a total Disney quantity + any cash you want to add to the small envelope and deliver it to them in person. You can also ask the visitor service to add it to your prompt. I find that our servers and cabin hosts usually go beyond and beyond.
Placeholder for booking future cruises 🙂
When you are on board and on the app, you have the opportunity to book a placeholder for $250 for future cruises. It will save you 10% on your upcoming cruise, and $250 is considered a down payment for the cost, which can be a good deal. You can book two placeholders per account. If you don’t use it, you get a refund after two years, but I think you might use it 😉
If you guys have any specific Disney parade questions I can answer, please send them my way!
I wish you a wonderful day and I will see you soon!
xoxo
